Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS to Debut in India on January 25
Porsche India is all set to showcase the 718 Cayman GT4 RS for the first time in India. The upcoming Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS will produce 80bhp more power with the same engine as the standard GT4.
Porsche India is going to unveil the 718 Cayman GT4 RS in India at its 'Festival of Dreams' event on January 25. The upcoming event in Mumbai will mark the celebration of the brand's 75 years in the Industry. The carmaker disclosed the model's price of Rs 2.54 crore (ex-showroom) for India in May of last year, but that announcement only served as a soft launch. Now, the 718 Cayman GT4 RS will make its official debut in the Indian market. Apart from the much-awaited Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the luxury carmaker will showcase its other models too. Talking about the powertrain, the 718 Cayman GT4 RS will be powered by the same 4-litre flat-six naturally aspirated engine as the standard GT4 but with more power output at 493bhp and 450Nm. It will have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds. The upcoming sports car, according to the company, will boast 315 Kilometre of top speed.
The sports car will come with a variety of performance upgrades compared to the standard version. Reportedly, the company has made the new GT4 RS lighter by utilising components like lightweight rear windscreens and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic for the bonnet and front wings. Speaking of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS's design aesthetic, it will have a set of 20-inch forged aluminium wheels, 408mm front disc brakes, and 380mm rear disc brakes. The 718 Cayman GT4 RS will differ from the standard version by having a 30mm ride height. It will also feature a swan-necked rear wing, redesigned air vents, and an adjustable front diffuser.

A number of cutting-edge technologies are also included with the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, including Porsche's Track Precision app, which enables drivers to track and evaluate their lap times as well as driving performance. The vehicle will also have a touchscreen infotainment system, a premium sound system, and a rearview camera.

The Festival of Dreams will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. It will be open to the public on January 26. At this event, the luxury carmaker will reportedly showcase the product line-up available for India including the Porsche 718, the 911, the Cayenne, the Taycan EV, and more.
