Porsche Unveils Exclusive 911 GT3 RS; Pays Tribute to Jo Siffert and the Iconic Race-Winning 917
This exclusive 911 GT3 RS commemorates that historic triumph and Jo Siffert’s lasting legacy, marking the 55th anniversary of the Porsche 917’s first victory at the Österreichring.
Porsche has created a special one-off 911 GT3 RS to honour the legendary Jo Siffert. In 1969, Siffert and Kurt Ahrens made history by winning Porsche's first international 1,000-kilometer race at the Österreichring in the Porsche 917. This victory was a major achievement, overcoming the 917’s high-speed and aerodynamic challenges. This unique 911 GT3 RS celebrates Siffert’s legacy and the 55th anniversary of that historic win. Every component of this unique vehicle is a meticulous homage to the victorious 917, reflecting Porsche's steadfast dedication to preserving its illustrious racing heritage. It is a captivating time capsule, transporting enthusiasts to a pivotal era in motorsport.
Design
A fitting tribute to a racing legend, this one-of-a-kind Porsche was created in close collaboration with Jo Siffert's family. Dressed in pristine Pure White paint, the car is further enhanced by striking Viper Green accents that adorn the front. This vibrant tone, a custom choice from Porsche's exclusive "Paint to Sample" program, extends to the central portion of the rear wing.

Number 29, synonymous with Siffert's racing legacy, is prominently displayed on the hood, doors and the rear wing. Evoking the spirit of the victorious 917, iconic Porsche striped lettering graces the doors and sides.
Faithfully recreating the car's historic appearance, Porsche has meticulously replicated the period-correct sponsor decals for Bosch and Shell. The Bosch logo is positioned below the rear wheel arches, while the Shell decal finds its place beneath the rear window. A personal touch is added with a special badge featuring Siffert's helmet design, name, and signature, elegantly displayed on the B-pillars.
Interior
The interior is a dynamic blend of style and homage. Black and Red Race-Tex upholstery envelops the cabin, while headrests are tastefully embroidered with a helmet insignia. The door sills showcase the iconic 917 silhouette, accompanied by Jo Siffert's signature.
Reflecting the car’s exterior, the key is finished in Pure White with a contemporary twist of Viper Green. Siffert's autograph is prominently displayed on the centre console and embossed on the leather key case.
