Skoda Kylaq Gets 10,000 Bookings Within 10 Days of Commencement in India

Skoda's new subcompact SUV, the Kylaq, has amassed 10,000 orders in just 10 days since reservations opened on December 2. Priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh, the SUV offers offer four variants (Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige), and a range of eye-catching colour options (Carbon Steel, Candy White, Olive Gold, Lava Blue, Tornado Red, and Brilliant Silver). It is underpinned by the brand's MQB-A0-IN platform. The Skoda Kylaq will be available in showrooms and for delivery starting from January 27, 2025. It competes against the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3X0.
For the uninitiated, Skoda will kick off an India-wide 'Dream Tour' with the Kylaq on December 13, 2024. Three SUVs will journey through 70 cities over 43 days, and return by January 25. The West-North route will cover Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, and Delhi. On the other hand, the West-South route will include cities like Mysuru, Pune, Kolhapur, Panaji, and Hyderabad. In contrast, the third route will explore Nashik, Nagpur, and Kolkata.

Skoda Kylaq: Engine
Coming to matters of the heart, the Kylaq has a 1.0-litre TSI engine that pumps out 115bhp and 178Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. It boasts a top speed of 188km/h and a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of 10.5 seconds with the manual gearbox.
Skoda Kylaq: Design
The Kylaq exudes elegance with its piano black butterfly grille, split LED lighting setup, slim LED DRLs, and projector LED headlights. The look is further enhanced with the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, functional roof rails, and striking wraparound LED taillights.
Step inside the Kylaq, and you’ll be greeted by a stylish black and grey interior with elegant piano black accents adorning the dashboard and center console. Top-end models elevate the luxury with premium leatherette seats and a single-pane sunroof. Features-wise, the SUV gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless connectivity.
