MG Comet EV
The Comet EV is one of the most budget-friendly EVs in the country. Built on a fully electric platform, it's equipped with a 17.3kWh battery and offers an ARAI-certified range of 230 km, providing zero tailpipe emissions. Priced at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the MG model also comes with the Battery as a Service (BaaS) option, reducing the price to Rs 4.99 lakh, with an additional battery rental cost of Rs 2.5/km. This flexible pricing makes the Comet EV even more accessible for urban drivers.
The car comes with features like connected car tech, a reverse parking camera with sensors, 12V power outlets, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, hill-hold assist, an electronic parking brake (EPB), a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual front airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), USB charging ports, and ABS with EBD.
Tata Tiago EV
Available in four variants, the Tiago EV is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh (starting, ex-showroom). The electrified Tiago is available with two battery options: a 19.2kWh unit (Medium Range) and a 24kWh unit (Long Range). The former variant generates 60bhp and 110Nm of torque when paired with an electric motor, while the latter version delivers 74bhp of maximum power and 114Nm of peak torque. The hatchback offers an impressive range of 250km to 315km, depending on the battery pack. Among the EV's stand-out features are a 4-speaker Harman sound system with four tweeters, automatic air conditioning, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Tata Punch EV
The ex-showroom price of the Punch EV, another affordable electric model from Tata Motors, begins at Rs 9.99 lakh. The 25kWh and 35kWh battery pack options deliver a range of 315 km and 421 km, respectively. Both units are paired with permanent magnet synchronous motors; however, the Medium Range (MR) variants produce less power (80bhp) compared to the Long Range (LR) variants, which generate 120bhp. The MR variant can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 13.5 seconds, while the LR variant achieves the same speed in 9.5 seconds.
In terms of features, it gets twin 10.25-inch screens (one for the infotainment and another for the instrumentation), connected car tech, an optional electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, automatic climate control, cruise control, a jewelled rotary drive selector with LR variants, and a wireless charger.
Citroen eC3
The eC3 is the French automaker's inaugural all-electric offering in India, carrying a starting price tag of Rs 11.61 lakh (ex-showroom). The Citroen eC3 houses a 29.2kWh battery pack, which drives a front axle-mounted electric motor. This motor generates 56bhp and 143Nm of peak torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60km/h in 6.8 seconds, with a 107km/h top speed. The EV has an ARAI-certified range of 320km and features two driving modes – Eco and Standard – along with regenerative braking. This electric hatchback is available in two variants: Feel and Shine. It directly competes with the Tata Punch EV and is positioned as a more premium option compared to the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.

MG Windsor EV
The Windsor EV, the country's first intelligent CUV, has a 2,700mm wheelbase, which is longer than that of many internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, allowing for enhanced space utilisation. It retails for an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 13.50 lakh. However, as part of the unique BaaS rental programme, the MG Windsor can be purchased for Rs 9.99 lakh, plus a battery rental fee of Rs 3.5/km. The model is driven by a 38kWh battery pack, promising an ARAI-certified range of 332km on a single charge. The motor produces 134bhp of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque.
