MG Motor India has reported retail sales of 4,572 units in July 2024, down from 5,012 units clocked in the same month last year. This marks a decrease of 8.7 percent year-on-year (YoY). Of the total units sold during July, MG's two electric vehicles – the Comet and the ZS EV – accounted for more than 1,500 units, underlining strong customer acceptance of new energy vehicles (NEVs).
MG Motor India, along with the JSW Group is working toward bringing its third electric vehicle to our market – the MG Windsor EV. The Windsor EV is a crossover sold as the Wuling Cloud EV in the Indonesian market. In the global market, there are two battery options on offer – 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh, sending power to a 134bhp, front-axle-mounted electric motor. The former yields a claimed range of 360km, while the latter offers a 460km range. It remains to be seen which of these versions will make its way to India.
