Tata Altroz Gets Discounts of up to Rs 35,000 in November
The Tata Altroz is the only hatchback in India offered with a diesel engine. The price of the Tata Altroz starts at Rs 6.60 Lakh and goes up to Rs 10.74 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Motors has announced some lucrative discounts and offers this month for its customers. Now, the Altroz, Tata's premium hatchback, is available with a total discount of up to Rs 35,000, consisting of a cash discount of Rs 20,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000, and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. Notably, these offers and discounts can be availed of through select dealerships across India till November 30, 2023.
The Tata Altroz sits on the new ALFA (Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced) platform that also underpins the Tata Punch. In terms of powertrain, the Tata Altroz gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 89bhp and 200Nm of peak torque, a 1.2-litre gasoline engine with 87bhp and 115Nm, and a twin-cylinder CNG setup that delivers 77bhp and 103Nm. Both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are available. To meet the RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission norms, all of the engines have been modified.

Interestingly, the Altroz is the only hatchback in India offered with a diesel engine. The car is available at a starting price of Rs 6.60 lakh and tops at Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Interested customers can choose from a range of colour options: High Street Gold, Avenue White, Arcade Grey, Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Harbour Blue, and Cosmo Black (Dark edition).
Tata Altroz Racer: Expected to Launch This Year
In recent news, the leading carmaker has plans to launch the Altroz Racer Edition in India. Mechanically, the upcoming car will draw power from a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, capable of churning out 118bhp and 170Nm. It will come connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Features-wise, the upcoming Tata Altroz Racer Edition will get six airbags, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver's display, electrically adjustable sunroof with voice assist, ventillated front seats, wireless phone charging, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and more. The Tata Altroz Racer shares many visual similarities with the standard model. However, with the blacked-out roof and alloy wheels, the upcoming car looks a bit sportier than its base variant.
