Tata Altroz Waiting Period Goes up to 6 Weeks in India

Tata Motors launched the Altroz in the year 2020 and is one of the best-selling hatchbacks for the automaker. If you are looking to bring home this popular model, here are the details about the waiting duration of the same. All petrol and diesel versions of the Tata Altroz currently command a four- to six-week waiting period. It is important to note that the stated waiting period is Mumbai-specific. Meanwhile, the homegrown manufacturer is gearing up to roll out the Altroz Racer Version in the domestic market. This limited-edition hatchback was seen on display at the Auto Expo 2023 and is expected to come with an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and ventilated front seats, among other features.

Tata Altroz: Engine and Transmission Options
The Tata Altroz can be purchased in diesel, petrol, and CNG powertrain configurations. A 1.2-litre petrol engine belts out 87bhp of peak power and 115Nm of maximum torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel mill can produce 200Nm of peak torque and 89bhp of maximum power. In contrast, the hatchback's CNG version develops 77bhp and 103Nm of torque. There is a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission available. All of the engines have been updated to comply with BS6 Phase 2 emission standards and RDE regulations.
Tata Altroz: Features
In terms of interior features, the Altroz boasts a wireless phone charger, a branded sound system, a sunroof, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, four power windows, steering-mounted controls, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry, follow-me-home lamps, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, and an optional nine-inch infotainment unit for the XM+ and XM+(S) trims.
Standard features on the hatchback comprise two airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD, and reverse parking sensors. Notably, Tata Altroz has also received a 5-star NCAP crash test rating.

Tata Motors November Sales
In November 2023, Tata Motors sold 74,172 automobiles in the domestic and international markets, a 1.7% decrease from the 75,478 units sold in November 2022. The company's monthly total domestic sales decreased by 1% to 72,647 units from 73,467 units year over year. Sales of passenger vehicles (PVs) during the month were 46,143, down 1% from 46,425 in the corresponding month of the previous year. Sales of commercial vehicles (CVs) fell by 4% year over year to 28,029 units from 29,053 units. As per the company, the total sales for MH&ICV in the domestic and foreign operations for the month, including trucks and buses, were 12,895 units as opposed to 12,673 units in November last year.
