Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus and More Get Discounts of up to Rs 2.28 Lakh in August
Volkswagen India is offering discounts of up to Rs 2.28 lakh for its popular Taigun compact SUV. Meanwhile, benefits reaching up to Rs 1.25 lakh are available for the best-selling Virtus sedan.
The festive reason is finally here, bringing a range of newly launched models, along with substantial discount offers on existing models. Volkswagen India is offering discounts of up to Rs 2.28 lakh on its popular Taigun compact SUV. However, it is not the only Volkswagen model available with attractive benefits in August. Discounts of up to Rs 1.25 lakh are available on the best-selling Virtus sedan. Lastly, the brand's flagship product, the Tiguan comes with benefits worth Rs 1.50 lakh. The discounts may vary by city and depend on stock availability. Now, let's go right to the details.

Volkswagen Taigun Discounts: August 2024
The MY2023 stock of the Taigun with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and manual transmission is still available at some dealers. These models come with a total savings of Rs 2.28 lakh. Considerable benefits are also available for other Taigun models. The German manufacturer is providing a discount of up to Rs 1.87 lakh on the 2024 1.5-litre TSI models and up to Rs 1.20 lakh on the 1.0-litre TSI models. The Taigun's 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces 150bhp of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, its 1.0-litre, triple-cylinder turbo petrol engine puts out 110bhp and 170Nm. The bigger engine comes with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic and a six-speed manual transmission, whereas the smaller engine is solely offered with a six-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox.
Volkswagen Virtus Discounts: August 2024
This month, overall savings and perks on the Virtus sedan reach up to Rs 1.25 lakh. The model with the mid-range 1.0-litre TSI Highline AT gets the highest savings. In the meantime, the combined benefits for the Virtus with a 1.5-litre TSI total up to Rs 70,000. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 115bhp and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 150bhp are shared by the Virtus and Taigun, as are the available manual and automatic gearbox options. The Virtus, like the Taigun, benefits from cash reductions, lowering its introductory ex-showroom price from Rs 11.56 lakh to Rs 10.90 lakh. The sedan takes on the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia.

Volkswagen Tiguan Discounts: August 2024
The Tiguan units manufactured in 2023 are eligible for discount offers of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. Meanwhile, the MY2024 Tiguan models receive total incentives of up to Rs 1.25 lakh this month. On the mechanical front, the VW Tiguan houses a single 187bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, powering all four wheels via VW's 4Motion AWD technology. The five-seater SUV carries a price tag of Rs 35.17 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of market rivalry, the Volkswagen model locks horns with the Hyundai Tucson and the Jeep Compass.
